(BRD, 2004, 35min, english) Lebanon, like most parts of the Middle East, is quite often an issue of news and political discussion - for example the Beiruty mass-protests against the rise of oil prices in May 2004. Sometimes we hear about negotiations between Israel and Hizbullah but the next day we hear about Israeli air-raid.
The image of the people's life and their social circumstances today is often dominated by remembering of civil-war-news in the 1970s: There was this devasted country which´s habitants were splittered into so many different religious, political and social groups - and some of them still are.
But what's about the daily life today? What's about the relations among these poeple that were once known as enemies? What do they remember? What is their position today? What are their aims and hopes for the future?
This documentary tries to give an idea about the people's daily life - even though it's confusing sometimes, standing in contrast to our own ideas and expectations, leading to further questions...

The interviews and recordings were taken in the summer of 2003.
