Compañeros: pensabamos hacer un nuevo envio de www.bloqueoalca.org
mañana cuando actualicemos la página, pero dadas las cirscunstancias, les
enviamos las siguientes noticias:
Estrudiantes de diferentes partes del país y
del mundo, reporteros, turistas y paseantes
agredidos sin justificación.
Al menos sesenta compañeros golpeados y arrestados por la policìa militar
(PFP), por manifestarse en contra de la reunión del WEF. Fuimos agredidos
al retirarnos puesto que al no poder evitarlo y este ser clausurado
decidimos retirarnos. Los militares arremetieron contra turistas,
estudiantes, y organizaciones ahì presentes, necesitamos su apoyo
presionando a las embajadas mexicanas o enviando mail a todo el mundo. La
represión aquì es muy fuerte ya que eramos aproximadamente 600 y ellos
màs de 2500 oficialmente y de diferentes agrupamientos incluyendo agentes
de varias partes del mundo. Ayuda por favor.

En cancun la situación es de alerta, nos han informado que los compañeros
que se encuantran alla han estado siendo hostigados desde que llegaron.
El lìmite fue la accion violenta de la policia para atacarlos cuando ya
se retiraban. Estamos muy lejos para ayudarles y solo podemos
manifestarnos de esta forma , por favor necesitamos ayuda para que puedan
salir libre y tambien regresebn a casa. Sabemos tambièn que sus choferes
han sido amenazados, que la gente que le ha brindado su apoyo es vigilada
y todo porque se atreven a manifestarse contra la globalización.

STUDENTS FROM DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COUNTRY AND THE WORLD, REPORTERS,
TOURISTS AND PASSERS-BY ASSAULTED WITHOUT JUSTIFICATION
At least 70 people were beaten and arrested by the military police (PFP) for
demonstrating against the WEF meeting. We were assaulted while trying to
leave, even though, unable to avoid it because we were surrounded, we decided
to withdraw. The military police attacked tourists, students, and
organizations which were present. We need your support in pressuring the
Mexican embassy or sending email to the entire world. Repression here is
very strong, since there were about 600 of us and more than 2500 of them
officially, from different groups including agents from various parts of the
world. Please help.

More repression in Mexico, immediate help
In Cancún the situation is tense. They told us that people there have been
harassed since they arrived. The last straw was the violent action of the
police in attacking them while they were withdrawing. We are too far away to
help them and can only show our support in this way. We are asking for your
help so that they can be released and go home. We also know that their
drivers have been threatened, and that people who have offered support are
being watched; and all this because they dare to demonstrate against
globalization.
