Dear Compañeras of the Colombian Women's Peace Initiative,
This letter sends you our sincere greetings of solidarity and support for a successful meeting this November 25 to 29. In the face of such violence, systemic repression and adversity, we, as community activists, Indigenous and African-descendent peoples, youth and trade unionists committed to social justice, recognize your efforts to come together from various regions of Colombia to build a broad and inclusive women's social movement that represents the country's ethnic diversity, as an inspiration for the work that must be undertaken here in Canada throughout the world.
Many of us who have signed below are actively involved in solidarity work with the Colombian struggle and support the participation of social and popular movements in the dialogue and negotiation process for peace with social justice. Given that, we eagerly await the results of your meeting while we continue to put the necessary pressure on the Colombian government so they know that we are watching and that we will not let those who struggle for a lasting peace with social justice be invisibilized any more. Further, we support you because, ultimately, we recognize you're struggle as an intricate and indispensable part of ours.

Queridas Compañeras de la Iniciativa de Mujeres Colombianas por la Paz,
Por medio de esta carta reciban nuestros cordial saludo y deseo solidario por un encuentro exitoso del 25 al 29 de Noviembre. Ante tanta violencia, represión sistemica y adversidad, nosotros/as, como activistas comunitarias, indigenas, afro-descendientes, jovenes y sindicalistas trabajando por la justicia social aquí en Canadá, valoramos sus esfuerzos de convocarse desde varias regiones de Colombia para la construcción de un amplio y inclusive movimiento social de mujeres, que representa la diversidad étnica y cultural del país, como una inspiración para el trabajo que realizamos desde estas tierras y alredador del mundo.
Las personas que aquí estamos firmando este comunicado, estamos involucradas/os actualmente en trabajo solidario con la lucha colombiana por la participación de movimientos sociales y populares en los procesos de diálogo y negociación por una paz con justicia social. Dado esto, estamos pendientes de los resultados de su encuentro y seguimos realizando la presión necesaria para que el gobierno colombiano sepa que le estamos observando y que no dejamos que la lucha por una paz sostenible con justicia social sea invisible ya. Además, le apoyamos su causa porque, al fin de cuentas, reconocemos que su lucha es una parte integral y imprescindible de la nuestra.
