Stop Deportation! Action against the deportation of Alabi Adebayo, leading member of "The Voice Africa Forum" Jena
Also in German exile, he\\'s a member of "Oodua Peoples Congress"(OPC), a political, social and cultural organisation fighting for the rights and interests of the indigenous Yoruba-people in Nigeria and worldwide. Together with others, he\\'s leading a campaign against present Nigerian "military-democracy" and is engages himself for a nationwide programme in Nigeria, which shall help to solve the numerous deficits in Nigerian policy. By his activities in exile, he critisizes the unacceptable violence from the government in his home-country. Alabi Adebayo is an active member and one of the coordinators of "The Voice Africa Forum". As he\\'s one of the organizers of the Caravan for the Rights of Refugees and Migrants in Germany, for example in Weissenfels, Halle and Jena, he has done a respectable contribution in this struggle.
The ethnic tensions in Nigeria, which have already cost hundreds of lives, are lasting, the "Bayelsa State"-massacre, the religiously motivated conflicts and murders in the North don\\'t come to an end, aswell the furious war against the "Oodua Peoples Congress"(OPC). The new president, former general Olusegun Obasanjo, gave the order "seek and destroy" against supposed members of the OPC. All this is daily life in Nigeria, while the president is pretending to the world, in his country, everything would be allright.
It\\'s well known that he has arraged with German government, in exchange for financial support, so that Germany continues deporting Nigerian activists, who are not few times expected by death in their home country. By this way, at least the oppostition in exile shall be made silent. The leopard never loses his skin; once soldier, forever soldier- and Obasanjo is notorious for his inhumanity.
Now, Adebayo Alabi is facing immediate deportation threat, the authorities want him to leave Germany until the 29th of May. He was forced to receive a Nigerian passport document from the embassy, which means a scandalous form of collaboration of German and Nigerian authorities against a Nigerian refugee. A flight for 29th of May is already booked. In this situation, Alabi Adebayo needs urgent support.
I support the campaign for asylum and deportation stop of Alabi Adebayo and ask You to arrange a new asylum trial for him, as I think that this trial is of general and decisive importance for all Nigerian asylum seekers.
