Campaign For The Festival Bonus

Festival Bonus is a Legal Right now. All the Workers and employees of private and public sector recive 2 festival bonus before the 2 main festivals. Each bonus is equivalent to the salary of a month. But the garment sector is different. Many owners do not give the festival bonus to the workers. Some owners give the bonus but only 50%. Some owners give as lump sum.

In 2001, NGWF organized a short campaign for the festival bonus before the main festival. This campaign made positive response to the workers. For festival bonus, NGWF organized some programs. For these programs and campaign, at least 5% more workers recived the festival bonus than the previous year. The number was 80.000.
