Dear members of the PGA network,

At the last European PGA convention in Milan (March 2001) it was proposed that either the Anarchist Collective Eurodusnie (Leiden, The Netherlands) or the networh MGA from Spain be the next PGA convenor. We are honoured by the proposal and discussed it with the activists participating in our collective.

Deciding on this issue was very difficult. Although we requested information on the specific tasks that would be necessary the information we received stayed vague. We also had to take into account what the influence of being host would have on our local and national activities.

However, as active participants in the PGA network we welcome the possibility to contribute to the development of the network by taking on the role of convenor. We therefore make the following proposal. The proposal limits the tasks that we take upon us but defines them clearly. In our view it is important to state clearly what we are prepared to take upon us in order not to create expectations that we cannot fulfil. Stating the tasks of the convenor is also important for the further development of the network.

If the network accepts this proposal we would like to:

However, our proposal does not include facilitating the PGA proces in the time leading up to the next PGA convention. Although we do find this an important task, we do not have the possibility to do this ourselves. It would probably be neccecary for another PGA participant to take up this task.

The question to the network is if the network accepts this proposal. If so, we will begin our preparations for the convenorship.
