The newly formed Richmond Economic Justice Coalition is hosting a Forum on Globalization and Economic Justice in order to educate Richmonders on various aspects of corporate globalization, its impact on local communities, and alternative visions for economic justice. Speakers will include Andres Izarra, Press Attache for the Venezuelan Embassy, Tony Avirgan of the Economic Policy Institute in Washington, D.C., Benjamin Blevins of the Guatemalan Highland Support Network, Mary Lou DeCossaeux of the Richmond Coalition for a Living Wage, and Barbara Cousar of The Defenders. A discussion period will follow. Local community organizations are invited to set up information tables in the church lobby.
