Today, MGJ and other groups turned out what looked like over 100 people in the puring rain on a workday to march from McPherson Square to a variety of corporate targets connected to the WTO's brand of globalization of misery.

First up was the McDonalds at 13th and NY (the one that demanded the closure of Franklin Shelter, since partially reversed by the efforts of Mayday DC). I spoke there, connecting them not only to their notorious behavior at home regarding labor conditions and of course the treatment of the homeless at this particular site, but also their role in pushing U$ culture and mass marketing into other nations.

Second was a military recruiter, where we re-enacted typical crooked lying recruiting, except for the activists talkingt the young man out of joining in the end (that we added).

Next was Pharma, who greedly lobbied the White House to block WTO rules loosening generic drug. After that we hit Bechtel (and Starbucks right next to them), and finally we vistited agricultural processor ADM, whose pushing of GMO's is a global threat to food security around the world.

Anyway, if someone in Cancun could sacrifice everything, teh least we could do was show up in the rain for a local solidarity action!
