A FIVE kilometre steel fence will be built around Gleneagles Hotel to protect world leaders attending the G8 summit in July.

Police will be stationed along the cordon, supported by rapid reaction units patrolling a new road around the perimeter. An 8ft high fence will circle Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament during the summit.
